The existing population of black bears in Taiwan is about 200 to 600 [1]. They are found in the mountainous areas of Taiwan&#8217;s Central Mountain Range at an altitude of 1000 meters to 3,500 meters, and the range of activities can reach 560 square kilometers.,   In 2001, the Taiwanese black bear was selected as the most representative wild animal in Taiwan.
